Of What Is Now

Merbeotches by Sheri Dupree

Sighed the sign
Of hopeless fun
My fellow friend, you would never understand
Not I let them too

The world is harsh but only cause people are
To hide is better than to deal with bitterness
Of misconceptions and limitations
Of what we are

They ignore our gifts
They hunt for their bliss
And make it bleed

Never forget
We are just the same
You and I are one
What I hate; they do
Is what they hate I do

Little Cocoon

The Roving Fairy by Sherri Dupree

Little Cocoon, little Cocoon
Bound to a tree
Small as can be
Hiding away from the flaming bee

Sleeping soundly
Saving energy
The cocoon cuddles
Holding her body

Intertwined,
Safely in deep thoughts
She daydreams of changing weathers
Fearing the awakening is much to dwell;
Sweeps her back into that little hole
