Mermaids Dream

"The way to the sea", written by J.C. Fennessy, first published by Herbert Jenkins in 1950.

Mermaids in the sea
I found myself not following
Towards the bank; I swim
Where my redheaded lover awaits for me

I will always remember his smile,
Brightest with wired specs.

He guides me up
I followed him
Towards the sun we go
Happiness shines aglow

I wait for him everyday
At his study
For a ride home
My lover comes back
I'll never be alone

He holds my hand
Offering hope
With sunglasses on
My tears; I'll hold.

Disconnected

Sienna Miller as Edie Sedgwick in Factory Girl

Mermaids in situation,
That is my frustration
In a gut; I'm blazing gold
But it's snowing cold

Lovers on a ride
High up in the sky
They showered gifts and many sins

Norbury

sherlock by stevenphelps

Not long before, I had a dream
Not long after, I saw the dream

Told by a sir
His vision is the core
My unlikely hero
He told me more

The yellow face
Was more than a cloud
I saw colours than words aloud
Suddenly a pleasant dream
Or a deja-vu it seems?

Then I read it out
A truly remarkable thing
I was looking not believing how
How can I dream of something I have not seen?
Nor think I would ever will.

More absurd as it gets
The doctor told this tale
Sherlock said 'Norbury'
Was indeed his bait.
